An 8-week-old puppy has very little bladder control, so frequent, predictable breaks are essential in these early days.
Take your puppy out every 60–90 minutes while awake, plus immediately after waking from any nap, within 10–15 minutes of eating or drinking, and right after a play session — excitement often triggers the urge to go.
Expect one wake-up break around 4–5 hours after bedtime. Keep it low-key — no play, just a quick trip outside and back to the crate.
